Since 1995 TourOnline has developed and supported internet-based solutions for the hotel and tourism industries. Through a combination of its own development team and expert partners, TourOnline has become a leading service provider in the area of online reservations for hotels, tourist information offices and tourist associations. The core product is the online reservations system DIRS21, which we launched in 1999 and have developed and expanded ever since. Today the system is being used by more than 2000 hotels and accommodation providers, and in 2008 bookings with a total value of more than 30 million Euros were processed.

Through it partnerships with regional offices of the German hotels association DEHOGA in Baden-Württemberg, Lower Saxony, and the Rhineland Palatinate, Touronline operates the internet portals www.buch-den-sueden.de, www.buch-den-norden.de and www.ferienland-rheinland-pfalz.de for the marketing of star-rated hotels in those respective regions. 

The hotel consortia AKZENT Hotels, Flair Hotels, Minotel Deutschland, Viabono and Romantik Hotels & Restaurants have all introduced DIRS21 as the central reservations platform for their member hotels.
